Funeral for Ida Mae Brady Byford, 78, of Hartselle, was Mon., Sept. 28, at 3 p.m. at Son Rise Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Bridges officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Byford died Fri., Sept. 25, 2009, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born July 3, 1931, in Morgan County to Cyrus Cleo Brady and Maggie Clemer Cobble Brady. She attended Priceville High School and was a charter member of Son Rise Baptist Church in Hartselle. She had worked at Byford Plumbing and Electric as bookkeeper for 48 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Jake Byford and her parents.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty Ann Byford Fischer of Huntsville, Sandra Mae Byford of Hartselle and Jennifer Lynn Byford Swann of Decatur; three sons, Benjamin “Ben” Cleo Byford and Ricky Allen Byford, both of Hartselle and Don Lamar Byford of Athens; 13 grandchildren, Michael Douglas Birdyshaw Jr., Benjamin Bryan Byford, Tracy Lynn Byford Sharp, Gregory Allen Byford, Heather Brooke Byford Clark, Kayla Danielle Byford, Whitney Michelle Byford, Andrew Blake Byford, Tyler Lee Byford, Chase Donovan Byford, Anthony David Reynolds, Jeremy Don Reynolds, Brandon Scott Reynolds; three great-grandchildren, Katlyn Nicole Reynolds, Adriana Sue Birdyshaw and Ava Katherine Sharp; two brothers, Huston Cleo “Buddy” Brady and Charles Neal Gilbert; a sister, Mary Frances Brady Burns; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Bryan Byford, Greg Byford, Jeremy Reynolds, Brandon Reynolds, David Sharp, Trey Clark and David Reynolds.
