Funeral for Bobby Wayne Collins, 60, of Hartselle, will be Thursday (today), October 8, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Willis and the Rev. DeJuan Reese officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Collins died Sunday, October 4, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born May 25, 1949, in Cullman County to Mack Vernon Collins and Docia M. Collins. He was a member of Calvary Assembly Church of God in Decatur and was retired from the Morgan County School System where he worked in maintenance. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Lamar Collins.
He is survived by his wife, Kaytreen Collins of Hartselle; three sons, Jeremy Bowling and wife DeWang of Hartselle, Gregory Bowling of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Kevin Bowling and wife Karen of Decatur; his mother, Docia M. Collins of Hartselle; five brothers, Loyd V. Collins and wife Shirley of Utica, Miss., Doyle M. Collins and wife Margie and Billy W. Collins, all of Hartselle, Frank M.D. Collins and wife Patsy and McArthur Collins and wife Jackie, all of Vinemont; two sisters, Wynetta Owens and husband Price of Hartselle and Erena Freeman and husband Ancel of Rossville, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be A.D. Halbrooks, Shane Reese, Jeff Collins, Scott Williams, Mike Freeman and DeJuan Reese.
