Funeral for Dale Murphy, 56, of Falkville, was Monday, October 5, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Larry McElroy officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Murphy died Friday, October 2, 2009, at Brookwood Medical Center. He was born January 16, 1953, in Morgan County to Fred Murphy and Charly Lillian Jenkins Murphy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Ponter Murphy of Falkville; two sons, Scott Murphy of Hartville, Tenn. and Ross Murphy of Eva; a daughter, Yolanda Murphy Lawrimore of Danville; two brothers, Dan Murphy of Hartselle and Frank “Pee Wee” Murphy of Falkville; a sister, Jane Murphy Lawrence of Falkville; and five grandchildren, Ariel Murphy, Colton Murphy, Trinidee Murphy, Kelly Lawrimore and Kasey Lawrimore.
Pallbearers were Phillip Ray, Joe Jones, Michael Ponter, Jermery Willingham and Laramie Willingham.
