Funeral for Maribelle Calkins Lindler, 83, of Cullman, formerly of Atlanta, Ga. and Eva, was Saturday, October 10, at 2 p.m. at Eva United Methodist Church with Bro. Al Dean officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Eva Cemetery.
Mrs. Lindler died Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born October 16, 1925, in Englis, Fla. She was a long-time active member of Skyland and Chamblee United Methodist Churches in Atlanta, Ga., and Eva United Methodist Church in Eva. She was in the Cadet Nursing Corp at the end of World War II. She was active as a Cub Scout den mother at Skyland United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Maybelle Burnham; her adoptive parents, James and Minnie Calkins; three brothers, Jack, Wilbur Lee and Ellis Burnham.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Paul Lindler of Cullman; two sons, James Lindler and wife Maribeth of Seattle, Wash. and John Lindler and wife Connie of Bushnell, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
