Frances Powell Sandlin

Funeral for Frances Powell Sandlin, 81, of Falkville was Saturday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Shaddix officiating.
Burial was in Powell’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Sandlin died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born May 12, 1928, in Morgan County to Jim Powell and Coreney Russell Powell. She was a lifelong member of Powell’s Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.B. “Pete” Sandlin and two brothers, Hollis and Jimmy Powell.
She is survived by a son, Don Sandlin of Falkville; two daughters, Joy Pate of Cullman and Robbie Alexander and husband Ben of Falkville; three brothers, Hubert Powell of Decatur, Edward Powell of Falkville and Noah Powell of Georgia; a sister, Virginia “Dago” Edge of Falkville; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
