Doors need replacing
Editor:
Regarding the doors at the Post Office, I have felt for several years that the doors were dangerous and unacceptable. I have seen many senior citizens and disabled ones having difficulty getting inside the facility. The doors are supposed to be automatic. They are the heaviest ones around town. People who have had medical procedures and those who are weak have great difficulty opening the doors.
What about the Disability Act? Those doors are too heavy. Small people or those in a wheelchair are not able to gain access without assistance.
Something should be done! It is a reflection on our city. Surely there are some solutions that would be safe and enable access.
