Funeral for Deloris Elizabeth Hagood, 75, of Decatur was Friday, October 23, at 2 p.m., at Eva Baptist Church with Phillip Robinson, Hugh Bohlin and Raymond Stinson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hagood died Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at her residence. She was born September 6, 1934, in Morgan County to Aldridge Childers and Dora Stansell Childers. She was a member of Eva Baptist Church and loved her family, church family, friends and flowers, but most of all she loved her Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Clifton Hagood; a son, Floyd Randall Hagood; her parents; a brother, Alvin Childers; and a sister, Martha Frost.
She is survived by a son, Clifton Hagood and wife Janice of Decatur; a daughter, Rachel Dearman and husband Keith of Decatur; a brother, Burl Childers and wife Ann of Falkville; four sisters, Judy Arrington and husband Russell of Hartselle, Carol Johnson and husband Grady of Huntsville, Charlotte Hall of Falkville and Bonnie Roper and husband Dwight of Eva; a sister-in-law, Sandra Childers of Falkville; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were nephews.
