Funeral for Billy G. Cox, 63, of Hartselle was Saturday, October 31, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Maples officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mr. Cox died Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at his residence. He was born October 4, 1946, to Ernest Cox and Leona Emogene Foster Cox. His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Cox of Hartselle; a son, Christopher G. Cox of Hartselle, a daughter, Jennifer Thompson of Falkville; six brothers, James E. Cox of Athens, Robert Cox of Huntsville, Jerry W. Cox of Sanford, Fla., Lewis H. Cox and David Cox, both of Hazel Green and Ronald Cox of Lacey’s Spring; three sisters, Corene Cagle of Anderson, Louise Yarbrough of Albertville and Ernestine Miller of Stockbridge, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Cecil Cox, Ricky Cox, Mike Johnson, Roger Cox, Nick Cox and Jimmy Yarbrough.
