Funeral for Bernice Parks, 78, of Hartselle, formerly of Rainbow City, was Friday, November 6, at 11 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla with Bro. Jess White officiating.
Burial was in Altoona-Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Parks died Wednesday, November 4, 2009. She attended Hartselle First Assembly of God. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who prided herself on her home and taking care of her family. She enjoyed spending time reading and canning. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Dessie Eudy and three brothers, J.W. Eudy, Arthur Eudy and Lavon Eudy.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Roy Parks of Hartselle; two stepdaughters, Debbie Preuitt and husband Eddie of Hartselle, Brenda Parks Pigg and husband Dickie of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Faye Golightly; three nephews, Gary Eudy, Jackie E. Eudy and Jim E. Eudy; four nieces, Kathy Cofield, Linda Luke, Vickie Hudson and Ann Faucett; and four grandchildren, Trent Preuitt, Jason Preuitt, Larissa Preuitt and Jace Preuitt.
Pallbearers were Jerome Hall, Eddie Preuitt, Jason Preuitt, Trent Preuitt, David Faucett and Joseph Faucett.
Honorary pallbearer was Johnny Faucett.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
