Hartselle woman killed in wreck

A head-on collision involving a mini-van and a pickup truck claimed the life of a Hartselle woman and injured a Vinemont man early last Thursday night.
Pamela Sieweke, 44, of Hartselle, driver of the mini-van, was pronounced dead at the scene by Morgan County Coroner Russ Beard. Injured was Brett Harris, 40, of Vinemont, driver of the pickup. He was taken to Hartselle Medical Center where he was treated and released.
The mishap occurred at approximately 7:56 p.m. on Cutoff Road, about one-half mile south of Somerville.
Only the drivers of the two vehicle were involved, Neither was wearing a seat belt, according to State Troopers.
The accident remains under investigation.
