Man charged with making meth

A Joppa man landed behind bars after agents with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department said they found him making methamphetamine.
Louis James Cook of 11292 Highway 67 South in Joppa, faces charges of unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance in the first degree. Agents with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Narcotics and Violent Crimes Task Force investigated Cook’s home after receiving complaints he was manufacturing meth at the location. Agents at the home found a large red phosphorous meth laboratory and a one pot “shake and bake” style lab.
They also found several glass jars containing bi-phase liquid, gas generators, a quantity of finished methamphetamine, a quantity of crushed-pseudoephedrine, coffee filters, tubing, salt, iodine, red phosphorous and other miscellaneous equipment used in the manufacture process of methamphetamine.
Agents also arrested Michael Howard Lambert and Lawrence Peter Lambert at the scene. Michael Lambert was charged with loitering in a drug house and giving a false name to law enforcement and had active warrants with Blount County Sheriff’s Office. He is being held on no bond. Lawrence Lambert was charged with loitering in a drug house and bond was set at $300 dollars.
