Cook, Black exchange vows
Carla Lee Cook of Madison and Michael Sean Black of Hartselle were wed Oct. 20, 2009, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica at Sandal’s Resort.
The bride is the daughter of Joseph Lee, Peggy Lee and the late Cindy Lee.
The groom is the son of Mike and Mary Nelle Black of Hartselle.
The bride wore a cocktail length dress with sheer ivory overlay and carried a tropical bouquet of local flowers.
Bridemaids were Shannon Black of Birmingham, sister of the groom; and Patricia Pickens Black of Decatur, sister of the groom.
Best man was Patrick Black of Decatur, the groom’s brother.
The reception was held at Sandal’s Resort and featured a chocolate bride’s cake with white icing.
The couple graduated from Hartselle High School in 1984. They reconnected while planning the class’s 25th year reunion. They left for their Jamaican wedding the day after the class reunion.
