A private memorial service for Darryl Jerome Alred, 47, of Decatur was Sat., Nov. 28, at 6 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Smith officiating.
Mr. Alred died Thurs-day, Nov. 26, 2009. He was born Sept. 15, 1962, in Morgan County to Vernon Alred and Sue Rice Alred. He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by a daughter, Sheena Alred of Decatur; his mother, Sue Farmer of Decatur; a brother, Steve Alred of Decatur; two sisters, Beverly Alred of Huntsville and Deborah Louallen of Decatur; caretakers, Jim and Carol Conner of Vinemont; a grandson, Tylan Swoopes; four nieces, Meredith Alred, Catlin Alred, McKenzie Rich and Madison Walker; and two nephews, David Alred and Brandon Lindsey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of the Valley.
