Funeral for Grady Boldin, 77, of Decatur will be Thursday (today), Dec. 3, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Nappier officiating.
Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Boldin died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Jan. 11, 1932, in Morgan County to Henry Boldin and Ola Mae Boldin. He was a member of Rural Grove Baptist Church and he loved to hunt and fish. He was retired from Sonoco (Baker Industries) after 30 years of service.He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leroy Boldin; and a step-grandson, Lee Cagle.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Boldin of Decatur; a daughter, Ann Cagle and husband Martin of Falkville; two grandchildren, Dewayne Childers and wife Cindy of Priceville and Jennifer Phillips and husband Thomas of Falkville; two step-grandchildren, Marty Cagle and wife Amy of Decatur and Brian Cagle of Falkville; five great-grandchildren, Josh Chil-ders, Surrayya Sweeney, Hunter Chil-ders, Emma Phillips and Nicklas Chil-ders; seven step-great-grandchildren, Issac Cagle, Ethan Cagle, Kenzie Cagle, Zavior Cagle, Alexah Cagle, Katherine Lindly and Kimber Lindly; 11 nephews; and two nieces.
Pallbearers were Mitchell Beard, Roger Boldin, Justin Boldin, Richard Atwater, Joshua Atwater and Stanley Holt.
