Bookkeeper pleads guilty

A former bookkeeper for Decatur Health and Rehabilitation Center has been convicted of stealing funds from the facility’s patient trust fund.
Kathy Campbell Houk, 47, of Courtland, pleaded guilty to first degree theft before Morgan County Circuit Judge Glenn E. Thompson.
Houk admitted to stealing $7,338 of residents’ money. She was sentenced to two years, both suspended, and then placed on three years of supervised probation and ordered to make restitution.
