Funeral for Gurnie Jay Kirby, 53, of Eva was Sunday, December 6, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Drinkard officiating.
Burial was in Rock Creek Cemetery in Winston County.
Mr. Kirby died Friday, December 4, 2009, at his residence. He was born November 5, 1958, in Pennyslvania to Gurnie Lee Kirby and Peggy Joyce Kilgore Kirby. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Kirby of Eva; two sons, Bryan Kirby of Eva and Gurnie Lee Kirby of Burnet, Tex.; a daughter, Lindsey Loney of Eva; two stepdaughters, Misty Skipworth of Decatur and Summer Johnson of Crane Hill; a brother, Mike Kirby of Fairfax, Va.; a sister, Charlotte Tumnello of Hartselle; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bryan Kirby, John Loney, Gurnie Lee Kirby, George Stevens Jr. and Scott Dotson.
