Funeral for Paul Light, 74, of Falkville was Sunday, December 6, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Reeves officiating.
Burial was in New Hope North Cemetery.
Mr. Light died Thursday, December 3, 2009, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born April 5, 1935, in Morgan County to Franklin Light and Virgie Black Light. He was well-known and loved in Hartselle as the “Pest Control Man.” He was a hard worker and truly loved having a garden. He was a loving husband and father. He resided in Decatur for 15 years and was known as a friend and neighbor there. He grew up on a family farm on Wilhite Mountain and returned there to retire. Early in his career he was a bookkeeper including a few years as head bookkeeper at McGriff Tires in Cullman. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Alvin Light; and two sisters, Mildred Woods and Imogene Young.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Light of Falkville; a son, Andy Light of Falkville; a brother, Aulbert Light of Shelby; a sister, Jo Ann Henry of Tennessee; many well loved nieces and nephews; and friends and neighbors.
