Funeral for Inez P. Conour, 104, of Sumner, Illinois, will be Saturday, December 19, at 1 p.m. at Sivert-Macey Funeral Home in Sumner. Visitation will be Thursday (today), December 17, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Conour died Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at Falkville Healthcare Center. She was born May 13, 1905, in Luken Township, Illinois, to David and Ida Inyart Hill. She was a lifelong resident of Sumner until 2001 when she moved to Alabama to be near her son Charles and his family. She was a member of Sumner United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carroll “Tad” Conour; and siblings, Clarence Hill, Noble Hill, Cory Hill, Marie Lukens and Elva Madden.
She is survived by a son, Charles Conour and wife Glenn; two granddaughters, Carol Tyler and husband Mike and Cheryl Hancock and husband Mark; two grandsons, Michael Groves and wife Marsha and Charles Conour Jr. and wife Michael; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial be made to your local Hospice organization.
