Local man charged in bank robbery

A Hartselle man is behind bars accused of robbing a Decatur bank over the weekend.
Joshua Lynn Wilcutt, 24, of 502 Katina Lane, is charged with robbing the BBVA Compass Bank in Decatur around 10 a.m. Dec. 12. Police said a man approached the teller and demanded money and then left the bank with an undetermined amount of money.
After airing photos from the bank’s surveillance cameras, police received several tips of the suspect’s identity.
The suspect didn't wear a mask and his image was captured on the bank’s surveillance cameras.
