Funeral for Audrey Mae King, 73, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Pitts officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. King died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at her residence. She was born February 8, 1936, in Georgia to Gettis Marvin Glover and Bertha Mae Cooper Glover. She was a wife, mother and homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hartselle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert E. King Jr.; her parents; and a brother.
She is survived by a son, Marvin E. King of Hartselle; a daughter, Kathy M. Girod and husband Dewayne of Hartselle; three grandchildren, Heather Jones and husband Charlie, Kristen Stinson and husband Steven of Somerville and Marvin E. King Jr. of Mobile; three stepgrandchildren, Michael D. Girod of Bartlett, Ill., Timothy A. Girod of Vinemont and Susan Turrentine of Hartselle; three great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Marvin E. King Jr., Wayne Tapscott, John Garrison, Timothy A. Girod, Johnny Thompson and Johnny Ferguson.
