Funeral for Edna T. Halbrooks, 79, of Hartselle was Friday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. at Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Sparks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Halbrooks died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born December 16, 2009, in Kentucky to Clarence Taylor and Myrtle Fairchild Taylor. She was a member of Austinville Baptist Church in Decatur. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and traveling. She loved her children and found great joy in all her family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Halbrooks and Tommy Halbrooks and wife Anita, all of Hartselle; three daughters, Myra Bridges and husband John of Winter Haven, Fla., Joan Sandoual and husband David of St. Mary’s, Ga. and Renae Jones of Macon, Ga.; two sisters, Eula McKenzie of Albion, Ind. and Ann Edgar of Fort Wayne, Ind.; nine grandchildren, Chris and Jessie Jones, Joby, Jorge and Eric Sandoval, Dustan Bridges, Bryan Bridges, Courtney Halbrooks and Emily Johnston; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bryan Bridges, Dustan Bridges, Chris Jones, David Sandoval, A.D. Halbrooks and Travis Johnston.
