Funeral for Lizzie Winell Stidham Drake, 86, of Cullman was Saturday, December 19, at 11 a.m. at Center Point Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Moore officiating and Moss Service Funeral Home in Cullman directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Drake died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at her residence. She was born February 19, 1923, in Cullman County to George Marion Stidham and Bertha Miller Stidham. She was a Baptist. She was a loving and devoted mother. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Shelby Jean Drake and Earney Neal Drake Sr.; a great-grandchild, Natalie West; and her husband, Elbert B. Drake.
She is survived by a son, Billy Ray Drake and wife Gail of Hartselle; six daughters, Betty Ruth West of Cullman, Iva Nelle Drake of Somerville, Fay Johnson and husband Jay of Huntsville, Hazel Jones and husband Doug of Cullman, Kim Elease Shelton of Columbia, Tenn. and Lisa Michelle Radcliff and husband Bill of Hartselle; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
