Odis ‘Tobe’ Morris

Funeral for Odis “Tobe” Morris, 86, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Tom Campbell and Wendell Callahan officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Morris died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at his residence. He was born April 20, 1923, in Morgan County to Clark Morris and Betty Gray Morris. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Elnora Morris of Hartselle; a son, Billy Morris and wife Donna of Hartselle; two daughters, Beverly Morris Cochrane and husband Gerald of Hartselle and Tracey Morris Callahan and husband Kelvin of Hartselle; a sister, Eula Morris McKee of Priceville; nine grandchildren, Lori Morris, Matt Morris, Leslie Morris, Erica Cochrane Steelman and husband Mike, Tara Cochrane, Jerry Cochrane and wife Stacie, Kim, Keri and Lance Callahan; and three great-grandchildren, Sloan Steelman, Allie Cochrane and Avery Delaney.
Pallbearers were friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
