Crisis Services lands grant

Programs designed to help victims of child abuse, domestic violence and rape are receiving help from state funding.
Crisis Services of North Alabama, which serves Morgan County, will receive $223,180 to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The agency also serves Jackson, Limestone and Madison counties.
The funds go towards paying for an emergencyshelter, a 24-hour crisis hotline, individual and group counseling and legal aid are available at the organization’s main facility in Madison County or satellite shelter in Morgan County.
