Funeral for Jerry Nix Hart Sr., of Falkville, was Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Nappier officiating.
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery.
Mr. Hart died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at his residence. He was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Morgan County to Frank N. Hart and Laura B. Spiegle Hart. He worked for Hartselle Gin and Warehouse/Silvey Cotton Company as a warehouse manager. He was a member of Piney Grove Christian Church. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a former board member of Joe Wheeler Electric Co-op.
He is survived by a son, Jerry Nix Hart Jr. of Vestavia Hills; a daughter, Ginger Foote of Falkville; a sister, Totsie Gardner of New Bern, N.C.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
