Funeral for Elsie Lewter Ricks, 82, of Hartselle was Saturday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jimmy Maze and Phillip Hines officiating.
Burial was in Mount Tabor Cemetery.
Mrs. Ricks died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Dec. 26, 1927, in Morgan County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis “Bill” Ricks.
She is survived by three sons, Cecil Lewter and Dennis Lewter, both of Hartselle and Halford Lewter of Havasau City, Ariz.; three daughters, Karen Murphy and Vicky Leeth, both of Hartselle and Janet Weaver of Havasau City, Ariz.; a sister, Eloise Peebles; and several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Shannon Leeth, Jason Leeth, Stephen Murphy, Heath Murphy, Shane Lewter and Ronnie Peebles.
Honorary pallbearers were Allen Lewter, Justin Murphy, John Thomas Wilson, Ray Wilson, Gary Orr Jr. and Thomas Cooper.
