A graveside service for Pamela Blalock Griffin, 63, of Hartselle was Saturday, Jan. 16, at 3 p.m. at Cullman Memory Gardens with the Rev. Jeff Redmond officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Griffin died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at Huntsville Hospital with her family by her side. She was born Dec. 21, 1946, in Selma to Lewie Elbert Blalock and Velma Pauline Brazil Blalock. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama and received her master’s degree from Alabama A&M. She retired from the Hartselle City School System where she worked at F.E. Burleson Elemen-tary School as a fourth grade teacher. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She dearly loved spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Darryl Blalock.
She is survived by her husband, Dwight Griffin of Hartselle; two sons, Clay Griffin and Corey Griffin and wife Erica, all of Hartselle; three grandchildren, Benjamin Griffin, Cole Griffin and Maysen Griffin; and a sister-in-law, Melanie Blalock of Denver, Colo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the “Sunshine Fund for Kids” at F.E. Burleson or to the First Baptist Church “Building Fund.”
