Funeral for Opal Burgess Legg, 82, of Hartselle was Tuesday, January 26, at 12 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with her son, Rev. Jimmy Legg, officiating.
Burial was in Andrews Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Legg died Sunday, January 24, 2010, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born November 6, 1927, in Morgan County to James Burgess and Lillian Parker Burgess. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Legg and two sons, Randy and Roger Legg.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Legg and wife Diane of Mayo, Fla. and Steve Legg of Hartselle; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Legg of Decatur; a brother, Paul Burgess of Hartselle; four grandchildren, Heath Legg, Jana Tucker, Lori Kyker and Stephanie Powell; five great-grandchildren, Addison, Emma and Ella Kyker and Katie and Brock Powell.
Pallbearers were friends of the family.
