Annie Ruth Davis Taylor

Funeral for Annie Ruth Davis Taylor, 80, of Somerville was Tuesday, February 2, at 11 a.m. at New Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Dewitt Crowe officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Her grandson, Dr. Travis Taylor, delivered the eulogy.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor died Saturday, January 30, 2010. She was born November 5, 1929, to Dewey and Zoney Brown Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Taylor; two brothers, Dallon Davis and J.C. Davis; two sisters, Lillie Davis and Ethel Turner; a grandson, Michael S. Taylor; and a granddaughter, Lara Whitehead.
She is survived by a sister, Doris Graves; two sons, Charles H. Taylor and Bobby W. Taylor, both of Somerville; a daughter, Delores Stephenson of Decatur; four grandsons; a granddaughter; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Greg Taylor, Michael Taylor, Rod Taylor, Adam Stephenson, Todd Oliver and Taylor Teague.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
