A graveside service for Bob Grove Pickens, 77, of Hartselle was Wednesday, February 3, at 11:30 a.m. at Herring Cemetery with the Revs. Jeff Redmond, Keith Andrews and Steve Grisham officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Pickens died Sunday, January 31, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born September 22, 1932, in Beggs, Okla. to Harvey Carroll Pickens and Lily Opal Hubbel Pickens. He was a member of Hartselle First Baptist Church and a retired system’s analyst at Redstone Arsenal. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, John David “J.D.” Pickens.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Fitzgerald Pickens of Hartselle, a son, Paul Allen Pickens of Hartselle; and a sister, Carol Mangum and husband Bill of Florence.
Pallbearers were Jim Mangum, Sam Mangum, Robert Moore, Kyle Mangum, Mark Ursic and Mark Roberts.
