Funeral for Dorothy Dimple “Dimp” Brown, 89, of Valhermoso Springs was Sunday, January 31, at 11 a.m. at Valhermoso Holiness Church with Bros. Melvin Brown and Tim Patrick officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Valhermoso Holiness Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died Friday, January 29, 2010, at Crestwood Medical Center. She was born June 8, 1920, in Morgan County to Mack Van Brown and Lyda Viola King Brown. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Hershel Inzer and Cam Brown; a son, Carson Brown; two great-granddaughters, Brittany Brown and Aleigha Westbrook; seven brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Troy Brown and Coy Brown and wife Frances, all of Valhermoso Springs and Shannion Brown and wife Mary of Hartselle; four daughters, Dorothy Faye Inzer Sasser and husband Buddy of Valhermoso Springs, Koneta Brown Westbrook and husband Pete of Hartselle, Roxanne Brown of Florence and Vera Brown Bond and husband Shayne of Somerville; a brother, Dewey Hammond Brown of Lacey’s Spring; three sisters, Annie Lou Lenox of Valhermoso Springs, Lillian Maples of Somerville and Mabel Avans of Hytop; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Dustin Atchley, Coy Dewayne Brown, Troy Stephen Brown, Brandon Brown, Jonathan Westbrook, Jason Brown, Cameron Westbrook, Cullen Brown and Chad Wilson.
