Eugene ‘Grandpa’ Corneilsen

A memorial service for Eugene ”Grandpa” Corneilsen, 89, of Somerville was Sunday, January 31, at 6 p.m. at his residence with the Rev. Ralph McCollum officiating and Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Corneilsen died Friday, January 29, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born July 6, 1920, in New York to Edward Corneilsen Sr. and Mimi Irene Unnegerg Corneilsen.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Corneilsen of Somerville; a son, Mark Corneilson of Lafayette, Ind.; three daughters, Cynthia Azcuy of Irmo, S.C., Phyllis Novinger of Somerville and Nancy Drapeau of Lansing, Mich.; a brother, Edward Corneilsen Jr. of Flanders, N.J.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
