Funeral for Clinton J. Simmons, 75, of Hartselle was Monday, March 8, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. John Bain and Stanley Linderman officiating.
Burial was in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Simmons died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born June 11, 1934, in Lawrence County to Enos N. Simmons and Laura McCressless Simmons. He was retired from Monsanto as a machine operator. He was a member of Walden Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Simmons; a daughter, Elaine Adams; and a great-grandson, Asa.
He is survived by his wife Berta N. Simmons; two daughters, Carol Hill and husband Nathan and Judy Simmons, all of Hartselle; three brothers, Chester Simmons and Faye Simmons, both of Moulton and Sonny Simmons of Hartselle; a sister, Frances Owens of Decatur; three grandchildren, Ashley Adams, Lynn Hill and Justin Hill, all of Hartselle; and two great-grandchildren, Neal and Gavin.
