Funeral for Virginia “Jean” Guyse, 72, of Decatur was Friday, March 12, at 7 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating.
Burial was Saturday, March 13, at 1 p.m. at Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Guyse died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at her residence. She was born June 7, 1937, in Morgan County to James Orville Long and Foree Sapp Long.
She is survived by a son, James Kenny Lowery of Moulton; two daughters, Rhonda Greenhaw Hackett and husband Gary of Carthage, Tenn. and Kim Clemons Mardis and husband Tim of Harvest; two sisters, Ruth Willis of Decatur and Barbara Blankenship of Danville; three grandchildren, Tom Greenhaw, Connor Mardis and Ryan Mardis; and two great-grandchildren, Megan Greenhaw and Trey Mardis.
Pallbearers were Gary Hackett, Tom Greenhaw, Stephen Preston and Tim Mardis.
