Funeral for Ada Lea “Peg” Shively, 92, of Hartselle was Sun., Mar. 21, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brad Eades officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Shively died Wed., Mar. 17, 2010, at NHC Healthcare of Moulton. She was born Feb. 23, 1918, in West Virginia. She moved to Hartselle in 1980 and served as a foster grandparent at Crestline Elementary School for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gordon C. Shively; son-in-law, Charlie Stevens; and a granddaughter, Michele Dawn Champion.
She is survived by three daughters, Jan Goodwin and husband John, Linda Cahill and husband Mike and Susan “Shelli” Champion and husband Jerry; seven grandchildren, Michael Cahill Jr., Jenifer Smith, Erin Williams, Chris Stevens, Gordon Stevens, Melinda Steadman and husband Sam and Scott Champion; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at NHC of Moulton for all the loving care they have given to their beloved mother and grams for the past eight years.
