Jobless rate remains the same
By Staff
Employment in Alabama increased for the first time in three months during February, according to the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations.
Wage and salary employment in the state increased by 11,300 from last month, with the majority of the gains in professional and business services, government, leisure and hospitality, manufacturing and educational and health services.
The change wasn’t enough to effect the employment rate itself, which remains at 11.1 percent.
