A memorial service for Joe Floyd, 71, of Richmond, Va. will be Fri., April 9, at 2 p.m. at Hartselle First Christian Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the memorial. He was a former Hartselle resident.
Mr. Floyd died Tues., March 23, 2010, at his residence. He was born Nov. 13, 1938, in Morgan County. He attended the University of Alabama and was a buyer for Thalhimers. He was a Methodist all his life, an avid reader and a supporter of the arts. He amassed his own art collection while traveling Europe and the Orient.
He is survived by a brother, Ray Floyd of Vestavia Hills.
