A graveside service for Wanda Praytor Harvel, 79, of Adairsville, Ga., formerly of Hartselle, was Fri., April 2, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Penn officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Harvel died Tuesday, March 20, 2010, at her residence. She was born July 7, 1930, in Morgan County to Simon W. Praytor and Dora Lee Penn Praytor. She was a devoted mother. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lurline Praytor Minor Isley, Rachel Praytor Baker and Jean Praytor Hartselle; a brother, and a brother-in-law, Sam Minor.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Smith and husband Gary of Adairsville, Ga.; a brother-in-law, Mahlon Hartselle of Seminole, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Praytor of Moulton; four step-children, Jeremy and Jennifer Ray, Kevin and mandi Tant, Judson and Katie Smith, all of Cartersville, Ga. and Mollie Smith of Atlanta, Ga.; three step-great-grandchildren, Peyton and Presley Ray and Mulaney, jacey and Sydney Tant of Cartersville, Ga.; and nieces and nephews, Butch Baker and Fred and Sandra Smith, all of Hartselle, Mike and Judy Praytor and Tommy and Cindy Praytor, all of Moulton, Phil and Ann Cork of Tuscaloosa, Eli and Mary Lyane Capilouto of Birmingham and Jim and Mimi Steele and Art and Glenda Hartselle, all of Seminole, Fla.
Pallbearers were Mike Praytor, Tommy Praytor, Butch Baker, Gary Clark, Phil Cork, Fred Smith, Eli Capilouto and Art Hartselle.
