Funeral for Opal J. Winton, 89, of Hartselle was Wed., April 14, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dewitt Crowe officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Winton died Sun., April 11, 2010, at her residence. She was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Morgan County to Jim Winton and Lula Mae Ray Winton. She attended Southwest Baptist Church and was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 40 years of service. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Rose.
She is survived by a granddaughter, Mary A. Beckham of Hartselle; two half-brothers, Edward Winton of Oxford and Howard Winton of Somerville; a sister, Ruby Mount of Birmingham; and two great-grandchildren, Allison and Molly Beckham of Hartselle.
Pallbearers were Wesley Massey, Roger Hutzler, Tommie Dunlap, Ken Nelson and Matt Joiner.
