Decatur Charity League and Waddell’s Seafood are hosting a fundraiser to raise money for PACT (Parents and Children Together), a Morgan county non-profit organization that works to prevent child abuse. The fundraiser will be held at Waddell’s Seafood, 707 Nance Ford Road SW, Hartselle, April 24 from 3 – 8 p.m. For further information, contact Kathy Waldrop at 476-8478. Come to a healthcare reform bill workshop and learn how it will affect you. Presented by North Alabama Healthcare for All, the event is planned for May 1 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at St. James CPCA 920 W. Moulton St., NW, Decatur. This event is free and open to the public.

The Hartselle Chapter of AARP 1831 will meet at the Pleasant Place, located on Sparkman Street next to Evan’s Florist, on Tuesday, May 4, at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to come enjoy

Decatur Civic Chorus POPS concert, “Let’s Go to the Movies,” will be May 6 at 7 p.m. at the Princess Theatre for the Performing Arts in Decatur. The event will feature movie themes from the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. General admission is $12 (or by season membership). Registration for Red Cross swimming lessons will be May 10 at 8 a.m. in the back gym. Registration will continue Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. until the spaces are filled. Fees are $35 for ages 6 and older and $30 for ages 5 and younger. A schedule of classes will be available at the end of May.

Hartselle High School’s class of ‘95 15-year class reunion will be May 15 at Burningtree Country Club at 7 p.m. There will be a picnic at Sparkman Park that afternoon. An invitation is extended to the HHS classes of ‘94 and ‘96 as well. The cost of the event is $100 per couple and $65 for individuals. RSVP and payment deadline is April 1. All mothers of active duty, reserve or honorably discharged military service members are invited to attend monthly meetings of Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. The Morgan County Chapter meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at East Highland Baptist Church in Hartselle. Blue Star Mothers of America was organized in 1942 and congressionally chartered in 1960.
Priceville Palace hosts a new band, Chuck and Tina Goode Friends, Saturday nights from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Admission is $5.
The Hartselle Chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous meets Mondays at 8 p.m.; Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m.; Wednesdays at noon and 8 p.m.; Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.; Fridays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 7 p.m. The Friday meeting is a smoking meeting.
