Decatur man held on rape charges

A Decatur man was arrested last week after Hartselle Police Department received reports he had had sex with a woman younger than 16.
Victor Diaz, 19, of 411 Austinville Road in Decatur, is charged with rape in the second degree. HPD said they’d receive a report of a consensual sexual act between Diaz and the teenager that occurred at Spanish Trace Apartments early on the morning of April 18.
Diaz was taken to the Morgan County Jail on $300,000 bond.
