Funeral for Maggie Lou Taylor, 95, of Hartselle was Mon., April 19, at 2 p.m. at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church with Bro. Glen Smallwood officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor died Fri., April 16, 2010, at her residence. She was born Oct. 18, 1914, in Marshall County to Lucian Hopper and Ruemma Mitchell Hopper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar “Runt” Taylor; two sons, James “Jimmy” Taylor and Jackie Taylor; and two daughters, Barbara Bowen and Dorothy Taylor.
She is survived by four sons, Charles Edward Taylor and wife Ruth and Kenneth Ray Taylor and wife Brenda, all of Hartselle and Howard Lucien Taylor and wife Kathy and Joe Grant Taylor, all of Decatur; two daughters, Ellender Elaine Brakman of Hartselle and Shelia Jeaine Brakman and husband David of Decatur; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
