A traffic stop in Hartselle last week led to the discovery of a meth lab on Garden St. and the arrest of a local man.
During an April 17 traffic stop, Hartselle Police discovered that the subject, John Brian Ham-ilton, 33, had several active warrants. Police went to his home at 912 Garden St., where they discovered seven one-pot meth labs located in the home.
The labs contained pseudo blister packs, a quantity of finished methamphetamine, lithium strips, lye, camp fuel, and sulfuric acid. One of the meth labs was in a briefcase. A large amount of drug paraphernalia was also found.
The home was owned by Hamilton’s family and a young child had been staying there but was not present at the time of the raid. He is charged with unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance, first degree, and was taken to the Morgan County Jail without bond.
