Bad check roundup finished
With the Morgan County bad check roundup complete, warrants are being prepared for those who didn’t meet their financial obligations during that time.
According to District Attorney Bob Burrell, the deadline for those owing money to the Morgan County Worthless Check and Restitution Recovery Units expired April 21. Warrants are being prepared for the arrest of those who didn’t satisfy their financial obligations within the amnesty period.
Burrell advised those who have an outstanding warrant to turn themselves in or pay in full if they wish to avoid arrest.
If you wish to report the whereabouts of a person wanted by the Worthless Check Unit or the Restitution Recovery Unit, call 351-6133 and ask to speak to Investigator Bill Mauldin. Your name will remain confidential.
