Funeral for Christine Sanders Ward, 91, of Hartselle was Mon., May 3, at 4:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Penn officiating.
Burial was in Gum Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Ward died Sat., May 1, 2010, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born May 4, 1918, in Morgan County to Mack Coy Sanders and Bessie Ida Couey Sanders. She was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church and was employed at Fowler Drugs  for many years before an automobile accident left her disabled in 1963. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernerd A. Ward.
She is survived by a brother, L.A. Sanders of Decatur; three nieces, Joyce Wallace of Hartselle, Nadine Roberts of Cotaco and Jan Ward of Birmingham; and four nephews, Marlon Tapscott of Hartselle, Mark Sanders of Somerville and Jerry Sanders and Doyle Ward, both of Decatur.
Pallbearers were Mickey Wallace, Chris Wallace, Myron Tapscott, Mark Sanders, Kenneth Roberts and Brandon Tew.
