Herbert L. Chunn II

A graveside service for Herbert Lewis Chunn II, 55, of Hartselle was Sun., May 2, at 2 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery with the Rev. Cecil Berry officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Chunn died Thur., April 29, 2010, at his residence. He was born March 21, 1955, in Morgan County to Herbert Lewis Chunn I and Minnie Ellen Duncan Chunn. He was a 1973 graduate of Brewer High School, a member of the first football team at Brewer and an avid Alabama fan. He was retired from the U.S. Navy where he served as a Chief Petty Officer on the Trident Nuclear Submarine. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by three sons, Joshua David Chunn and wife April of Athens, James Lewis Chunn and wife Nikki of Fort Campbell, Ky. and Jeffery A. Chunn and wife Ashlee of Hartselle; a daughter, Leslie Jo Chunn Staggs of Athens; a brother, John Darryl Chunn and wife Rosena of Somerville; four sisters, Charlotte Ann Fells and husband Blase of Galveston, Tex., Elizabeth “Libby” Kimbrell, June Carol Golden and Elisa Jo Chunn, all of Somerville; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Chunn, Nathan Kimbrell, Blase Kissinger, Jonathan Golden, Jason Golden and Jody Golden.
