New Center News – New Center mourns special lady
I sure was glad to see the rain we got recently. I‘m not too partial to the storms but was thankful for the rain because it helped to get the pollen out of the air.

So often it’s very troubling when we hear about those who have gone through a tragedy. The most recent being the Hake children who lost their parents, Doug and Jennifer Hake, in a motorcycle-car accident in Marshall County. Other examples are those families in Albertville, Geraldine and surrounding communities who lost their homes in recent tornadoes. I hope you will continue to remember all of these families as they go through the healing process.
Christian love and sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Bud Reichert, a cousin of Karen Plemons.

Muffins for Mom will be observed at New Center Baptist Church on Sunday, May 9 (Mother’s Day) from 9:15 until 9:45 a.m. All of the moms are invited to come to the fellowship hall and enjoy a fresh-baked muffin. All of our moms are loved and appreciated for everything they do at New Center Baptist Church.
I would like to wish my mother, Evelyn Motes, a happy Mother’s Day. As I was growing up, I always appreciated so much all that did for me, but as I’ve gotten older I understand more clearly what you were trying to teach me. You knew that some day it would help me prepare for the opportunities in life and help me make good decisions. Most of all, I’m grateful for a godly mother and the wonderful example you have been to me. I love you very much. -Your oldest daughter, Javon.
