Falkville falls in regional tournament

HUNTSVILLE – Falkville finished its season 23-22 – the school’s most wins since moving to fast-pitch – after losing twice in the North Regional Softball Tournament Saturday.
Falkville opened the tournament with a 3-0 loss to Hatton after getting just one hit against the Lady Hornets.
Amanda Muse had a single for the Lady Blue Devils.
Jessie Thompson was the losing pitcher.
Falkville 12, Westminster 2
Falkville stayed alive in the tournament with a 12-2 rout of Westminster Christian in a loser’s bracket game.
Falkville had 15 hits in the win.
Samantha Davis led Falkville with three hits, while Thompson, Katelynn Smith, Mary Ward and Sarah Goodman had two hits and two RBIs each.
Paige Mayer finished with a double and Sarah Smith, Callie Shedd and Muse added singles.
Thompson allowed five hits to pick up the win.
Lexington 10, Falkville 0
Thompson doubled and Shedd added a single for the only Falkville hits.
