Funeral for Stella Jean White Quick, 75, of Hanceville, formerly of Hartselle, was Mon., May 10, at 11 a.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel with David McDonald and Dennis Lott officiating.
Burial was at Bethlehem Cemetery in Dodge City.
Mrs. Quick died Thur., May 6, 2010, at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born May 21, 1934, in Hartselle. She was crowned queen of Hanceville Nursing Home in 2006. She was a resident of Hanceville for over 50 years. She was a 1953 graduate of Morgan County High School. She retired from Bruno’s Grocery chain in Cullman and was a homemaker. She loved her yard and was a lover of all animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim White and Annie B. Derrick Johnson and three sisters, Willodean Tyler of Hartselle, Elewese Edgar of Derby, Kan. and Josephine Olson of West Nyack, NY.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Quick; a brother, J.E. White of Hartselle; two sisters, Chris Pearsall of Stony Point, N.Y. and Dorothy Johnson Helms of Alma, Ga.; a good friend, Shirley Burden of Hanceville; 17 nieces and nephews; 34 grand nieces and nephews; and several great-grand-nieces and nephews.
