Coupons offered to senior citizens

Morgan County senior citizens who meet eligibility requirements can receive coupons from the Decatur/ Morgan County Farmers Market.
Seniors can pick up one booklet of coupons at four different sites later this month.
To receive the coupons, seniors must be 60 years old or older and present a photo identification or two other forms of ID. Income requirements are $18,200, or $1,517 a month, for a household of one; $24,500, or $2,042 a month, for a household of two; or $30,800, or $2,567 monthly, for a household of three.
There are no exceptions to the income stipulations.
Coupons can be picked up May 26 from 1-3 p.m. at Eva Senior Center; May 27 from 1-3 p.m. at District Four Shop on Union Hill Road; June 1 from 1-3 p.m. at Hartselle Civic Center; or June 2-3 from 1-3 p.m. at Decatur/Morgan County Farmers Market.
The coupons can be exchanged for fresh fruit and produce at the farmer’s market.
